Annual Symposia
Each year the Workgroup hosts a one-day symposium focused on a challenging topic at the interface of behavioral health and the criminal or juvenile justice systems that has not received enough inter-disciplinary attention, collaboration, or advocacy. General goals for each symposium include:
- Illuminate systemic gaps and inequities
- Center lived experience to guide equitable practice and policy
- Share practices across systems
- Strengthen cross-sector collaboration
- Focus on education, participatory research or policy innovation and equity-focused reform
- Generate a work product
