Rosemary Vassallo

Rosemary Vassallo is the Mental Health Attorney for the Manhattan office of The Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Practice since October 2017. She provides legal expertise to clients with mental health issues and assists other attorneys to formulate appropriate dispositions or trial strategies. She advises on issues regarding fitness and criminal responsibility, assists obtaining psychiatric and psychological experts, participates in 730 examinations and hearings, 390 exams, hospital arraignments and works with clients who have been committed to psychiatric facilities as unfit/incompetent. Rosemary has been a practicing attorney for over 25 years.
